Tensions explode at Bronx community television operation amid fiscal challenges — New York Daily News Story*
*BronxNet is a public, educational, and government access (PEG) cable television network in The Bronx, NY, airing on multiple Cablevision and Verizon FiOS channels. It is located on the campus of Lehman College,and at a new studio, “BronxNet East” is in the Mercy University campus at 1200 Hutchinson Metro Center.
{For several years back in the day, Bronxnet was a serious resource for my students who were interested in careers in broadcast journalism, broadcast media and what I call other moving images media and forms. I didn’t think the my department was doing enough.
Marisa M. White was a Bronxnet internship coordinator who helped several Hunter students get a good start on their careers. Bronxnet helped make up for the courses that my students were required to take in my department where colleagues kept fragging undergraduate journalism.
