Hunter College President Jennifer Raab Several Minutes Ago Told the Hunter Community Via the Main College Listserve That She Is Resigning

It was only a few weeks ago that she announced the new appointments of her new higher ed administration cabinet of “Acting Administrators” — which usually is a sign of major problems.

Nevertheless, it appears that she was/is being forced out after years of controversy. Let’s not forget what Former Hunter College Acting Provost Valedea Dent said about racism and bigotry in the Department of Film and Media Studies.

But for now, below is what Rabb said on the main Hunter College Listserv know as Hunter-L.

It has been a privilege beyond measure to lead this exceptional institution for the past 22 years, in effect, through the entire 21st century. But the time has come to announce I will be leaving the presidency of our beloved Hunter College at the end of June 2023.
