“College Counselors and Diversity Officers Should Come Together to Combat Systemic Racism” — So Writes Liann Herder in Diverse Issues in Higher Education
Gregg Morris, that’s me, believes it won’t work for the truly trenchant Higher Ed SOBs. Until city, state and federal laws are strengthen against systemic & structural racism similar to what has been done to laws to fight sexual harassment, this ‘coming together’ is nothing more than pipe-dreaming, pie-in-the sky-ism. The equivalent of Guerrilla S.W.A.T. Teams for Real Academic Diversity & Progress are needed until laws against discrimination are seriously strengthened.
